A truly traditional age-old Irish pub located just one short block away from the Friendly Confines, otherwise known as Wrigley Field – Home of the Chicago Cubs. Irish Oak is a mixture of Old World atmosphere in a contemporary, vibrant setting. With most of the interior imported directly from our home country, our two full bars are as authentic as our Guinness.
When you come in, you won’t want to miss our Signature Whiskey Still Room located through the back. You’ll find just about every authentic whiskey out there. Luck of the Irish for the Cubs or not, we’ve got more whiskey stocked in our bars than any Irish bar in town, which is good for both victories and curing the sorrows. (After all, we did get voted Best Irish Pub in the U.S. by MSNBC, 2010).
Gaelic specialties like fish-and-chips, Irish Stew and Corned Beef Sandwiches are just a few of our signature dishes. So whether you’re in for a game, live in the neighborhood or in the mood for a taste of Ireland, come on by! We’ll see you there.
3511 North Clark Street, Chicago, 60657
A patriot for whiskey and sports alike (particularly the Cubs, Notre Dame and, surprisingly, the Broncos), this Wrigleyville pub has its own Signature Whiskey Still Room and a legit Old World vibe with imported Irish furniture. If you’re hungry, expect a hearty menu offering Gaelic hints like shepherd’s pie, corned beef sandwiches and Guinness stew. Oh, and they also have a Sunday brunch menu for those of you who plan to go a wee bit hard next Saturday’s game.
