The Royal Peacock Is Legendary!
Since the 1930's when the "Top Hat Club", was the original name, it had some of the world's most elegant affairs presenting graduation dances, a chorus of girls, exotic dancers, the Tyler & Tyler dance team. This famed nightclub also held concerts and drew the biggest names in show business, including Ray Charles, Roy Brown & Orchestra, Billy Wright, James Brown, Sam Cook, Jackie Wilson, Little Richard, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, Joe Lewis, Jackie Robinson and a host of others.
Some of the hottest dance hall DJs come from New York, Jamaica and other island nations to spin authentic Reggae and Caribbean music til the wee hours of the morning. While there are several places in Atlanta featuring live entertainment, The Royal Peacock is still one of the most exciting night clubs. This legendary hot spot is in the Historic Sweet Auburn District.
